The 137FB IOTA trip was a great success, not only did we enjoy the fantastic Isle of Man TT races for the week, we managed to get some great radio in as well. See below for the log of 137FB/EU116 and some pictures of the activity.

If you feel you should be in the log but you do not appear, please email the QSL manager 26fb001@freebanding.co.uk

There will be QSL card conformation upon request, it is not necessary to contribute, but for those that do and those that already have, all contributions will be donated to the RAIBC the charity working for radio amateurs with disabilities, see here for their web site. We will publish the amount donated at a later date, once all cards have been sent out.

Frequencies used were 27475, but it was necessary to QSY up and down now again because of QRM and pile up conditions.

Because I couldn't get a ferry ticket I had to fly, this meant I had no way of getting an antenna over to the island. I packed my radio, Alinco DX 70 and the EX 2 auto ATU, some wire and some bits and bobs, connectors etc. On arrival to the island I hired a small van as transport and my power source. I bought three pieces of wood and a large pack of cable ties. I used the cable ties to join the wood as my mast. See below for the pictures.

I changed locations to try for some different DXCC's

Also I visited the Isle of Man TT paddock, below is me standing next to Keith Amors 600 Supersport bike.

Below is me next to the hire van, clearly displaying the Manx, Isle of Man registration number

A few pictures to follow, taken on a different camera.
