FBDX Special Event Big Get Together to take place 30th June/ 1st July 2012 on DX Hill (Private land)
All previous events have been a great success, and we anticipate this one to be as successful.
Everybody welcome from all groups. Make the effort, come and have a beer and a natter with likeminded radio enthusiasts. West Central 26 div with easy access to M5.
Full camping and caravan facilities, in beautiful countryside surrounding with loads of 11m radio activity.
It doesn’t matter what 11m group you’re in or even that you’re in any group at all. We will make you very welcome. There will be an 11m radio station set up with both vertical and directional aerials, amoung some other usually interesting radio stuff going on.
We are near the top of the cycle and it will be right in the middle of summer E season, so we anticipate some good propagation.
There will be BBQ food and beer, also you’re welcome to bring along some supplies to share. There is plenty of camping space and room to bring a caravan on the Saturday night with all amenities, water, electricity and toilet facilities. It all takes place on the top of DX Hill which is a high peak in the beautiful surrounding area, all on private land.
Even without the excuse of a radio activity day this is a great place to spend the weekend, its quiet away from any traffic, with great countryside views for three hundred and sixty degrees, if there’s no cloud cover you can see the whole sky and the only light pollution comes from the bonfire.
Add to this, a bunch of likeminded radio enthusiasts, some DX activity and a good weekend becomes a great one! You could even bring the other half.
